luxury shopping like an a lister

Do you have some money burning a hole in your pocket? After a shopping spree that can rival an A-lister? Then we have 3 of the best shopping centres in the UK to help you satisfy your spending needs.

1 - The Bullring, Birmingham

With over 160 shops and the iconic Selfridges department store crammed with designer goodies, The Bullring is a paradise for shopaholics. In the heart of Birmingham’s city centre, this odd looking building has been wowing shoppers since 2004 including Victoria Beckham and One Direction’s Liam.

You will most certainly be in need of food after ticking off all the high street brands you can name and designer favourites such as Kurt Geiger and Michael Kors. Take yourself to the food hall to refuel for another bout of spending, ding ding ding, time for round two in Selfridges. A truly luxury experience, Selfridges will offer you loot you will not easily find elsewhere in the Midlands of the rest of the UK. After all this hard work take yourself past the champagne bar for a true A-lister way to end the day.

2 - Cabot Circus, Bristol

In the heart of Bristols shopping quarter is a uniquely designed shell-shaped roof which keeps you protected from the elements while you browse over 90 stores. These include Harvey Nichols, Joules, Apple and a flagship House of Fraser.

Three floors of House of Fraser should have you weighed down with shopping bags but if not, there is plenty more to fill your boots with. Favorite high street brands include Superdry, Topshop and H&M plus there are high-end names such as All Saints, Ted Baker and Apple.

The piazza offers a large choice of restaurants and cafes, and in the summer months you can sit back and relax in the deck chairs with dancing water fountains to entertain you. You will be in need of a sugar boost at some point in the day and Krispy Kreme is there to save the day or pay a visit to the more deluxe Patisserie Valerie.

Cabot Circus does an excellent job of catering to the whole family. A crazy golf adventure is a perfect way to break up the shopping day or perhaps watch your favourite A-lister in their latest movie at the 13-screen Showcase Cinema De Lux.

3 - Trafford Centre, Manchester

Finally, we finish with Britain's largest indoor shopping centre. Consisting of more than 200, yes 200, shops, Europe's largest food court, a 20 screen cinema and an 18 lane bowling alley.

Five miles from the west of Manchester city centre it’s easy to get to by car or bus, but the most A-list way of getting there (without having a chauffeur of course) is to go by water taxi or ‘waxi’.

You might be mistaken for thinking you transported to Las Vegas as you walk through the doors, forget the usual dull shopping centre, here you will find marble staircases, domed glass ceilings, pillars, statues, murals and many palm trees. They also claim to have the world's biggest chandelier.

You name a shop and it is most likely to be here! There are four main shopping areas which include stores such as All Saints, Calvin Klein, Hollister, Levi’s and a Selfridges & Co department store.

You might even spot a celebrity or two with past visits from David Beckham, Liz Hurley, Sir David Attenborough, Rihanna and more pop stars than you can shake a microphone at.

There’s too much going on at the Trafford centre to fit here, but a few more reasons to head here are Odeon cinema, Legoland Discovery Centre, SeaLife Aquarium, Aerial Extreme (a high rope adventure course!), Paradise Island Adventure Golf and Namco Funscape full of arcade games, bowling and more.

If you can’t get enough of the A-list shopping experiences, perhaps a career at one of these shopping centres would suit you down to the ground. With a wide choice of job opportunities available at the Bullring, Cabot Circus and the Trafford Centre you could be shopping in your lunch break before you know it.
