Retail Buyer - Champneys Health Resort Tring

Champneys is a destination health spa chain with resorts and day spas located in the English counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and Hampshire.

The Retail Buyer plays a key role and is responsible for overseeing the sourcing of new products and initiatives for the retail departments across the business. Dedicated, creative and positive individual with excellent technical skills and interest in the health, wellbeing and spa industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Negotiate cost prices and terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for the company.
• Extensive travel across all of Champneys sites to ensure that operationally sales targets are being met.
• Reviewing fashion market trends, new brands and key influencers.
• Source and select relevant new brands/partnerships.
• Conduct and support buying appointments.
• Full responsibility for planning and delivering retail range to meet sales targets.
• Forecasting accurately on new product ranges to ensure that the business is not over/understocked.
• Any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks as requested by CEO and Management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Experienced Assistant Buyer/Junior Buyer
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience of making a positive impact on a category/retail business.
• High proficiency in Microsoft word, outlook and excel.
• Ability to self-manage
• Must be willing to travel at short notice.
