Joining our Operational team and working alongside our Product, Programme and Change Managers you will have the opportunity to contribute in a very real way to Tescos success.

In this role, you will plan and organise resources and people to make sure that the agreed project benefits are delivered and are within budget and timelines. You will also look after projects with support.



- Setting up governance forums with support by engaging key sponsors and subject matter experts
- Building project business cases (incl. agreeing scope and objectives) and identifying critical success factors (with support)
- Managing key stakeholders and dependencies to establish ways of work and alignment of approaches
- Producing the initial project plan, subsequently tracking and reporting progress to the governance forum
- Establishing and filling resource requirements whilst balancing budgets and individual development needs
- Setting up project/team budgeting, planning any deliverable creation processes, to ensure expectations are clearly established and standards followed
- Identifying and managing project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate
- Implementing projects on time and on budget
- Managing the project team at the same time as supporting team members' on the job learning
- Tracking project benefits after go-live against the original business case and critical success factors
- Capturing lessons learned in conjunction with team members and other key stakeholders
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence


- Knowledge and experience of delivering projects within or outside of Tesco
- Prior experience working within a retail environment or working with retail businesses
- Previous experience from a - Assistant Project Manager role for example

- An interest in Project Management
Project management qualification desirable
- Financial acumen
- Organisation skills (including time management)
- Data analysis and report preparation.
