Your Role

We know that Asda's customers care greatly about protecting the planet and throughout every business function we are committed to making more sustainable choices easier and more affordable for everyone.

High quality data analysis is critical in shaping our strategy and helping our colleagues understand their opportunities and results.  In this role you will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Sustainability and will develop and deliver robust measurement and tracking across the Zero Waste, Plastics & Packaging and Customer Value pillars.

You'll also manage the team's engagement into key leadership forums, preparing progress updates, scorecards and executing disciplined meeting management.  Your role is to keep us all on track to achieve the ambitious Planet targets we have set ourselves.

About you

You will have a track record in leveraging data to drive commercial decision making and be familiar with the different types of data a retailer might use to assess performance and opportunity. You will know how to focus both on the detail and rigour of compiling accurate data sets but also on the "so what" of what we need to learn in order to act.  You will be naturally organised, with experience of managing long term projects requiring disciplined governance and high quality documentation.

You do not need specific Sustainability work experience but you will have a personal passion for the agenda, keeping up to date with global developments and be familiar with the main topics.

We want all colleagues to be able to bring their best and true selves to work, every day. Simply put, we want our colleagues to be Proud to be Asda and proud to be themselves.
