About the role

Buzz Bingo is an Omni-Channel operator. This role is pivotal in supporting the Online business by delivering excellent commercial analysis and insights to support the impressive growth plans of the Digital business, BuzzBingo.com.

The role will act as the senior commercial finance partner, leading the commercial finance team for Digital to support and challenge the Digital Commercial & Operational teams to make data-driven decisions. Working with key stakeholders across Buzz, you will deliver insights and analysis, and ensure that reporting is relevant, accurate and timely.

We require an experienced professional Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to take responsibility for Digital Commercial Finance analysis, leading a small team whilst also taking a 'hands on' role at Buzz. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate presentation, reporting and analysis of commercial finance data for the Digital business.

You will identify improvements to existing reporting and analysis, create BI analytics solution designs, and manipulate and interrogate data (using SQL and PowerBI).

You will be a key business partner to the Digital team, in a fast paced and dynamic commercial environment

Responsibilities

  • Review of weekly and periodic reports for the Digital business, presenting key updates and conclusions from KPI reports to senior management on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Insights and analysis of initiatives and new products, making informed recommendations based on performance trends.
  • Leading and developing a commercial finance analysis team of three.
  • Developing and improving commercial insights and analysis and delivering ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Liaising with the Digital Operations team to capture upcoming reporting and analysis needs.
  • Ownership of commercial finance analysis for the Digital business, supporting other members of the commercial finance team to deliver analysis and strategic insight.


Skills & experience

  • Experience of analysing datasets to identify trends and presenting the findings in clear to understand formats.
  • Relevant sector experience in either gaming, retail, leisure or other online B2C consumer sectors.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify key trends and issues that impact commercial performance.
  • Experience of presenting key trends, conclusions and insights to senior management in a concise and clear manner.
  • Passionate about data and how it can be used to support our business, with an inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems.
  • High attention to detail with experience of delivering consistently high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of building relationships across a business, with the ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and work with key stakeholders.
  • Experience of improving on existing working practices.
  • Experience of developing junior team members and managing the priorities of the team.
  • Highly numerate, ideally with an accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA or ACCA).
  • Experience with data analysis tools including SQL and PowerBI. Excellent Excel skills is a must.
  • Great communication skills with strong data visualisation and presentation skills, with a desire to improve quality and efficiency of existing outputs.
This is a full time permanent role offering a competitive salary in the range of 50,000 - 55,000 depending on skills, experience and location as the successful candidate can be based from Nottingham or Stratford (London).
