Optimisation lead/analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for an Optimisation Lead to join the Online Grocery team! As Optimisation Lead you will be part of the fastest growing business within Asda and one of the industry leaders in online grocery.

The role represents a unique opportunity to support and inform a fast-paced team in a highly dynamic industry with important insights that drive business decisions. You will also support the management of strategic and innovative projects to ensure that the award-winning website remains at the forefront of the ecommerce industry. 

The role reports into the eCommerce Optimisation Manager and will support the delivery of the A/B testing roadmap for the Grocery website & apps. The role will be responsible for contributing to a culture of test and learn by driving experimentation through hypothesising, planning, building and reporting on prioritised lists of opportunities to innovate and improve web experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Optimisation Manager in building a test and learn culture at Asda
  • Working with both online and offline datasets
  • Utilise digital analytics to help make data-led decisions on how we can improve our service to customers, and our business teams
  • Support on analysing customer feedback to identify trends and 'pain points' in the customer journey and proactively drive solutions
  • Undertake competitor analysis and monitoring eCommerce trends
  • Create digital analytics dashboards and present analysis performance
  • Create and analyse A/B tests
  • Collaborate with the wider team to define testing and merchandising best practice
  • Build great working relationships with GEC Product Managers so that they deliver effective enhancements

Key skills

  • eCommerce Optimisation experience
  • Ability to work with online and offline data with strong statistical knowledge
  • Experience of working with complex data & MI including digital analytics e.g. Adobe Analytics
  • Experience of A/B testing
  • Strong relationship building skills and collaborative working style
  • Keen attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable skills

  • Experience with content management system (CMS)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and CSS or willingness to learn
