Category Manager, Caravans - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
The Caravan Category Manager role exists to transform and manage the Commercial engagement with our suppliers to ensure Bourne and it's brands drive maximum value out of these critical supply chains and delivers on the 6 key strategic priorities: Security of Supply, Innovation, Quality and aftersales support, End to End Supply Chain, Value for Money, Risk Management.
The Role takes a lead with suppliers representing and working closely with the key stakeholders in Proposition, Caravan Sales, Facilities Maintenance, Finance, Caravan Inventory and Pricing and elsewhere in Procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring we leverage maximum value from our Caravan Supply Chain in line with Business plans
- The End to End supply process for Caravans works meets all stakeholder needs and works across Haven.
- Ensures ongoing value and high levels of service (OTIF, Quality, Warranty adherence, etc.) from our core supplier relationships
- Delivers Best Value for Money. Manages Risk through Supplier selection and contracting
Experience -
Essential:
- Deep Expertise in strategic sourcing and category management in a relevant category
- Proven history of developing and executing sourcing and procurement engagements that return substantial value
Desirable:
- Experience of supply chain in static caravans, manufactured homes, modular construction or automotive
- Strong Stakeholder management experience
- Strong financial and commercial experience
- Hospitality or multiple industry experience
