Job Description

Product Management

  • Carry out competition analysis and draw strategic recommendations
  • Propose new ranges and brands aligned with the strategy and positioning
  • Display and constantly build on strong product and trend knowledge
  • Monitor NPD with factories to collate information and meet deadlines
  • Setup and liaise with suppliers to range-build and launch
  • Master critical path and priority management
  • Develop strong product (across all categories) and systems knowledge
  • Input and maintain accurate data in systems along with BA
  • Collate and communicate product information swiftly and accurately to marketing, retail and ecommerce
  • Carry out Marketing shoot preparation and coordination
  • Develop digital imagery of ranges to be accurate and commercial in alignment with ecom/marketing KPIs
  • Support BA in answering customer/ showroom queries
  • Support QA for product queries

Commercial Awareness

  1. Negotiate pricing and other benefits from suppliers
  2. Support producing trade packs and present internally when needed
  3. Bring new ideas to improve sales performance and identify trading risks
  4. Undertake showroom / supplier visits as and when required and prepare packs ahead of visits to optimise meeting efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer
  • Systems knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Graduate level, design/creative/furniture background preferred.

This role will require occasional travel to our London offices.
