Main responsibilities include:

Interacting effectively across client and operational functions, to manage your team to superior operational and business performance.
Support the management team in the effective liaison with the client to ensure the continual development of the guest journey.
Taking ownership and responsibility for all operational areas as directed including bars, cellars and drinks storage areas.
Be prepared for heavy lifting (kegs, stock, glassware etc.).
Ensure all operational areas within your remit are fully stocked with necessary beverages, glassware, garnishes, equipment and disposables in a timely manner prior to service, taking into account any expected guest numbers, and/or multiple service times.
Delivering briefings to your team to ensure they understand our expectations and follow company standards.
Ensure all team members consistently demonstrate exceptional customer care and follow responsible alcohol service policies.
Ensure all team members display knowledge about beverage menus, including any suggested wine pairings.
Ensure all team member know how to correctly operate any tills as well as being proficient in opening and closing procedures, able to balance tills and report any incidents to the senior management team.
Ensure all team members know how to prepare all beverages, including how to correctly open bottles, decant/mix beverages and provide the appropriate garnish and glassware.
Taking full responsibility for cash floats, tills, and stock management in line with profit protection guidelines.
Ensuring all equipment is working i.e. fridges, tills, EPOS, PDQ’s, taps, gas, kegs & glass wash machines and report any issues.
Confident in changing gas canisters and beer kegs.
Confident in enforcing Challenge 25.
Management of queue system to encourage swift transaction time.
Ensuring the bar is cleaned and closed down properly, including turning off gas & kegs and waste disposal.
Excellent understanding of allergens and knowledge of where the drinks allergen information us located.
Ensure members of the team adhere to company appearance standard’s whilst on duty.
Assist with new team members by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
Confident to take on both positive & negative feedback, provide a resolution and communicate to restaurant manager as necessary
Comply with all company and unit policies with regards to Health & Safety, Food safety, Allergens, Hygiene, staff welfare, personal presentations standards, Manual Handling & COSHH, Fire Regulations, Licensing Law, profit protection, Sales of Goods / Trading Standards and Environmental policy. Actively address all issues in relation to non-adherence of company standards.
Ensure you complete necessary checklists and paperwork as directed.
